Simplified Tracking with Cutting-Edge Bluetooth Technology
This new feature leverages state-of-the-art Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology integrated seamlessly with the FleetWatcher App. When you’re on-site, your mobile device can detect and log BLE-equipped tools and attachments within a 100-foot radius. All discovered devices are automatically recorded and displayed in FleetWatcher, just like your larger assets.
With this advancement, you’ll have real-time visibility into the whereabouts of items that are too often misplaced, left behind, or misallocated. It’s precision asset management for the tools that keep your jobs moving.
How It Works
The app will begin scanning for BLE devices within a 100-foot radius. The scanning process runs for 30 seconds, and all discovered devices during that time are recorded and displayed in FleetWatcher’s interface.
Real-Time Feedback & User Controls
If you find the tool before the scan completes, simply tap “Stop Scanning” to end the session early. A notification will confirm whether the scan results were successfully uploaded or if there was an issue transmitting the data.
After each scan, a five-minute cooldown period prevents immediate rescans but allows users to review a comprehensive list of all currently tracked BLE devices in the company. Newly activated devices will automatically populate this list—no manual refresh needed.
