How To Navigate OSHA's New Recordkeeping Rule With AlignOps

| February 12, 2024 | By

Just when you think you have a handle on OSHA requirements, a new rule comes your way. But don’t worry! Here at AlignOps we stay on top of OSHA requirements so you don’t have to!

Here’s what you need to know about OSHA’s new Electronic Recording Keeping Rule

If a company has 100+ employees: You must electronically submit OSHA forms 300, 300A, and all your 301 forms (for the 2023 year) using OSHA’s Injury Tracking Application System (or ITA for short). The deadline to submit your 2023 forms is March 2nd, 2024.

If a construction-based company has 20-99 employees: You’re now required to submit the OSHA 300A form each year. It must be submitted electronically by March 2nd, 2024.

OSHA has finally transitioned away from traditional, paper-based record-keeping - which has historically been a tedious, manual process - and has embraced technology in its stead. This new electronic submission process will allow OSHA to quickly organize and share important safety data within the construction industry to improve job site safety while protecting employee privacy.

So what happens now?

Luckily, AlignOps has a comprehensive safety management platform that allows businesses (like yours) to digitally record and monitor injury data without the hassle of paper records, verbal reports, and lengthy email threads. Best of all, we make it easy to electronically submit your OSHA forms so you can stay compliant with their new Electronic Recordkeeping Rule. It's a win-win!

In this article, we’ll share key AlignOps Safety features that will help streamline your safety recordkeeping while allowing your business to submit OSHA forms electronically without stress.

With AlignOps, you can remove your manual process and automatically create downloadable OSHA 301 Forms for each individual, recordable injury. You can also summarize those injuries automatically on a 300 Log and 300A summary.
