Our story starts with
Three contractors and a safety consultant walk into a....
well, not a bar, but an idea. Their teams were stuck in a cycle of late nights, stalled projects, and endless back-and-forth trying to get operations under control. Frustrated, each contractor took matters into their own hands.
The electrical contractor built ToolWatch to track down missing tools. The heavy equipment contractor created busybusy to eliminate time card disputes. The excavation contractor made FleetWatcher to cut down cycle times. And the safety consultant launched Safety Reports to digitize safety management.
Individually, these tools solved real problems and were loved by crews worldwide. But something was missing.
Operations were fragmented. Disconnected tech stacks left crews without a clear picture of what was happening, when, or why.
That’s why AlignOps was created. Built on the idea that construction operations should run seamlessly, four proven solutions came together to form one easy-to-use, connected platform.

In 2021, ToolWatch welcomed investment partner Riverside Company and took the strategy to the next level, acquiring Safety-Reports.com and adding one of the industry’s leading safety and compliance solutions to the platform. Then, in 2023, ToolWatch acquired busybusy and add the industry’s most innovative construction workforce management solution.
