We’re excited to announce a new update to SafetyReports that gives administrators greater control and confidence over Job Safety Analysis (JSA) management.
With this release, SafetyReports now lets admins decide which JSA authors can edit or delete their own JSAs, ensuring every record remains accurate, consistent, and compliant.
JSAs are at the heart of workplace safety. They capture how teams identify risks, plan tasks, and prevent incidents. But when those records can be freely edited or deleted after completion, important details and even compliance history can be lost.
Previously, JSA authors had the flexibility to modify or remove their own forms, even after they were finalized or signed by others. In some cases, that made it harder for organizations to confidently identify the official version of a completed JSA.
This new feature changes that.
SafetyReports now empowers administrators to customize, edit, and delete permissions for each JSA author.
Admins can easily allow, limit, or completely restrict the ability to change JSAs once submitted. This means:
It’s a simple but impactful improvement; one that helps every organization strengthen its safety reporting foundation.
This enhancement is especially valuable for:
By managing edit and delete permissions, leaders can safeguard their data without slowing down operations.
Consistency builds trust — especially in safety.
This feature helps ensure that every finalized JSA remains an unaltered record of the work, risks, and controls agreed upon by your team.
That means:
Ultimately, it’s another way SafetyReports helps you stay proactive, organized, and compliant, while giving you the flexibility to manage permissions in a way that fits your team.
The new JSA edit and delete controls are part of SafetyReports’ ongoing mission to make safety management simpler, smarter, and more secure.
By helping you lock in finalized safety data, this update ensures your reports reflect the real work happening in the field and stand up to the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
This update is live and available to all SafetyReports customers. Admins can review and adjust JSA permissions at any time in JSA User Maintenance.
